What we do
Opa’s is a new farming venture in the Ottawa area that brings together experienced local farmers who share a passion for regenerative agriculture.
Farming in west Ottawa, our mission is to offer high quality food at prices that are accessible to consumers.
We offer Vegetable CSA and Mixed Meat subscription options, as well as vegetables, meat and eggs ‘as available’ through our Farm Stand.

Meet the Team
Dave Enright

Farm Manager
Dave was born into a family that had farmed for generations. As a child, he moved to the big city with his parents and grew up largely away from the farm, but it always remained in his blood.
Dave returned to the fold and started farming his own chickens in 2007, and by 2015 he was running a full farm with cattle, chickens and vegetables.
Quite familiar with conventional farming methods, Dave’s interest and passion for healthy food led him to research and learn about regenerative agriculture.
He’s never looked back, and now brings his extensive knowledge and passion for regenerative methods to Opa’s.
Dave is a featured farmer in regenerate, a farm documentary series created by Michael Doyle.
Mya Sheppard

Farm Hand
Farming is a perfect fit for Mya – she loves being outdoors and loves working with animals, two things she gets to do daily on the farm.
Her passion is caring for the animals and seeing them happy and healthy. She finds it rewarding to know she has a direct, positive impact on their lives.
Mya learned to take care of animals by doing. Before working at Opa’s, she took care of other people’s farms when they were away.
Since joining the Opa’s team, she has gained much knowledge working alongside Dave, whom she describes as her mentor and her ‘go to’ when she has questions.
Seeing how regenerative farming can benefit the animals’ livelihood and environment makes Mya proud to be a part of it.
Quinleigh Bond

Head Grower
Quinleigh loves regenerative farming as a way to grow nourishing food while caring for the land and the people it connects. She is inspired by practices that nurture soil health, encourage biodiversity, and help build resilient local food systems.
While studying political ecology, Quinleigh joined community gardening initiatives, sparking her interest in small-scale, sustainable growing.
She gained hands-on experience growing an abundance of vegetables—from arugula to zucchini—using regenerative practices that keep soil healthy and plants thriving.
At Opa’s, Quinleigh continues to learn and contribute to our regenerative farming practices. She enjoys collaborating, learning from each season, and celebrating food as a way to bring people together.
